We have had lots of fun participating in Waggy Walks and raising money for Dogs Trust. It was a great atmosphere, lots of wonderful dogs and face painting and bouncy castle for the kids too. We really enjoyed our day!

Information & Directions

The walk will start by the Children’s farm and visitor centre beside Tollcross leisure centre car park. The 1.5km circular route leads walkers through the park’s wonderful gardens, including the International rose garden before looping back behind the Winter Gardens and returning to the Children’s farm and start point.

There will be refreshments available on the day both at the event and in the Tollcross Leisure centre café.

Face painting and activities will also be available for younger Waggy Walkers and Dogs Trust goodies will be available too.

Parking and Public Transport

Tollcross Park has a large car park that is free to all park users. Parking is also available on all roads surrounding the parkland and adjacent side streets (please adhere to any local parking restrictions).

By rail: There are regular City Centre Services to Shettleston Station that is approximately a ten minute walk away.

By bus: Various routes operate from the city centre to Wellshot Road and Shettleston Road.

By Car: You can follow the yellow AA signs for Tollcross Park Leisure Centre. There is a large car park in the park, free to all park users. On street parking is available on all roads surrounding the parkland and adjacent side streets (please adhere to any local parking restrictions).

On foot: Access points are available from Tollcross Road, Wellshot Road and several other adjacent side streets.
